How to Migrate Oracle 10g to 11 XE

Migration of Oracle 10g to Oracle 11g XE, Oracle Database XE can be installed on any size host machine with any number of CPUs (one database per machine), but XE will store up to 11GB of user data, use up to 1GB of memory, and use one CPU on the host machine.

1. Export the database from the oracle 10g server
2. Install and configure Oracle 11g XE
3. Only we need to create user and tablespace if we are going to migrate process. So here, we Create Corpus user and corpus tablespace

4. Copy the dump file.
SHOW the default directory in which the dump file must be copied.

5. Import the database

6. Cleanup
GENERATE a command to check for old export files.

7. We need to change the 2 files for the network configuration of oracle 11.2 XE.

8. Check Listener

Note: we can check with sql developer.

9. Check and connect by the command sqlplus

10. Connect with user
